AI Youngsters is a class designed for kids 9+ years to help learn Generative AI, Machine Learning (ML) and Technical Presentations.
Founded by Avanti Pradhan, who is a Software Engineer working in the field of AI and ML for several years at companies such as Google, PayPal and Yahoo.

- The latest developments in the field of Generative AI
- Open their minds to the applications of AI in today’s world
- Introduce Machine Learning (ML) algorithms and models which are used for solving predictive problems
- Enhance their confidence and skills of public speaking and debate through technical presentations

Overview of Sessions
- Dates and times: Jul 14 - Jul 18, 9 am to 4 pm.
- This camp is aimed for kids 9+ years.
- Classes will be conducted at Campbell Community Center - 1 W Campbell Ave E-42, Campbell, CA 95008
- Tuition for the Summer camp is $495.
Overview of Sessions
- This course is designed to give students an overview of Gen AI applications, Machine Learning algorithms and building engaging Technical Presentations.
- There will be different sessions each time to keep students engaged and have fun while learning.
- Sessions will be covering overview of Gen AI applications, Machine Learning algorithms, hands on sessions with Technical presentation and engaging debates on these topics that are learnt every time.
- At the end of the course, students will be able to know Machine Learning models - Deep neural nets used for regression and classification, loss functions, evaluation metrics and the best models to be used for different prediction problems.
- Students would get hands-on experience building ML models, where they will be able to tune hyperparameters, choose model architectures to give the highest quality and decide what evaluation metrics are best suited for their prediction problem.
- This course will open their minds to Gen AI. It will teach them about the current applications and possibilities that Gen AI can bring in the future. A significant part of this course will be aimed at creatively using Gen AI in different scenarios.
- A large focus of this course is also on building public speaking skills in the above subjects, so students should be able to present their learnings and work through technical presentations. They would be able to explain their points of view and reasons why their chosen solution is better than the alternatives considered.
- On the last day of camp Jul 18, students would be presenting their work to their families and friends (all are welcome) to showcase a technical presentation topics that they have learnt in this class. We’ll also have debates where students will be putting their thoughts forth on why their solutions are better.

Gen AI is short for Generative AI. There was a time when Artificial Intelligence was limited. However with the advent of ChatGPT and Gemini (among others), AI can be used to generate new content - it could be images, songs, poems, videos, text etc. The possibilities are endless.
Gen AI is revolutionary. It is already being used for writing software - enabling faster development velocity for companies, creating new designs - speeding up artistic innovations, developing new drugs by aiding research among many others.
